The iconic Texas-based restaurant celebrates with a month-long birthday bash, app-exclusive 76-cent deals and a BOGO on National Whataburger Day.
DALLAS — Whataburger is marking 76 years with a full month of celebrations this August.
What better way to kick off the birthday festivities than on National Whataburger Day, Saturday, Aug. 8. The Texas-based burger chain says it will feel like a party, with selfie stations, balloons, and other festive touches to help guests join the fun.

But the festivities don’t stop there. Every Wednesday in August brings a new 76-cent surprise, available only in the Whataburger app:
Aug. 5: 76-cent Taquito with Cheese (entrée only), 6–11 a.m.Aug. 8: Buy One, Get One Whataburger (entrée only), 11 a.m.–8 p.m.Aug. 12: 76-cent 16-ounce Whatafresher, 11 a.m.–8 p.m.Aug. 19: 76-cent Big Ranch Wrap (entrée only), 11 a.m.–4 p.m.Aug. 26: 76-cent Signature Chicken Sandwich (entrée only), 5–10 p.m.
“Birthdays are meant to be shared, and that’s exactly what we’re doing all month long,” said Whataburger President and CEO Debbie Stroud.
To join in, guests just need to download the Whataburger App and create a Whataburger Rewards account before the celebration begins. The offers will automatically appear in the app on their scheduled dates.
“Whether you’ve been ordering the same Whataburger for years or you’ve been waiting for the perfect excuse to try something new, we’re celebrating the Guests who’ve made the last 76 years so special. Consider these weekly surprises our way of saying thank you,” Stroud said.
For a brand that started in Corpus Christi and grew into a Texas, and national favorite, the month-long rollout is a nod to decades of late-night drives, post-game meals, and everyday moments built around that iconic orange-and-white frame.
