CANUTILLO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — Police documents reveal that a stabbing between neighbors in Canutillo was due to a fight over a blocked driveway.

On Sunday, 20-year-old Adam Fierro was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon causing bodily injury after investigators said he allegedly stabbed his 21-year-old neighbor after a dispute.

According to the complaint affidavit, the fight started over a car that was parked in front of Fierro’s home.

In the affidavit, investigators detail that they spoke with several witnesses who said that they had had issues before with Fierro becoming verbally aggressive.

Investigators also described watching home surveillance video where it appears that Fierro and his mother allegedly confront the victim and his family who were in front of the home hanging out. Fierro can be heard allegedly telling them, “I’ll kill you all. You don’t f***** know me, bro.” Then, the victim and others can be seen trying to break up a fight before Fierro appears with a knife and stabs the victim.

Some witnesses told officers that Fierro had allegedly stabbed the victim three times in the back and side.

The affidavit also reveals the victim was taken to University Medical Center, where he had surgery as he had been cut in a kidney.

Investigators noted they found an 8-inch black steel kitchen knife at the scene.

The affidavit also details what Fierro reportedly told investigators during an interview.

After he was read his Miranda rights, Fierro allegedly told investigators that he had been hearing a car alarm going off at two in the morning and that when he looked outside, he saw a black car blocking his driveway. Fierro said he then walked out to ask the victim to move the car, when more people came out to confront him. Fierro then claimed that he and his family were assaulted and denied stabbing anyone, adding that he was not even sure anyone had been armed with a knife.

Investigators noted that during Fierro’s account of the events, he allegedly failed to share specific, clear details.

According to jail records, Fierro was booked and released from jail on Monday after he posted a surety bond.
