Tropical Storm Bertha is no more, as the storm has made landfall and been downgraded to a post-tropical system.
The storm made landfall in East Texas on Thursday afternoon, moving across the Houston area. The storm dumped multiple inches of rain across a few hours, prompting flood warnings in the area. Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzales also posted on to X that there had been some high water rescues. Other than that, no major issues or damage has been reported in the Houston area.
What’s left of the system is moving toward San Antonio and the Hill Country, which is still recovering from last week’s flooding.
