Budget town hall meetings are around the corner, and the City of Dallas is seeking public input on its proposed fiscal year 2026-27 budget.
District 10 and District 13 residents are invited to attend budget town hall meetings on Aug. 24 and 25 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The Aug. 24 meeting, which will be held via Webex, is a joint town hall for residents of both districts and will feature District 10 Council Member Kathy Stewart and District 13 Council Member Gay Donnell Willis. The Aug. 25 meeting, led by Stewart, will focus solely on District 10 and will be held at the Willie B. Johnson Recreation Center,
For residents attending their first budget town hall meeting, the meetings offer a chance to learn more about the city’s proposed budget, ask questions about how taxpayers dollars are expected to be spent and where and share personal and community priorities before the budget is finalized.
The meetings come as the Dallas City Council prepares to return from its summer recess and begin considering the city’s fiscal year 2026-27 budget amid a budget shortfall and ongoing discussions about the future of Dallas City Hall.
All budget town hall meetings will have Spanish interpretation, according to the event description.
