Coleen was born in Kansas City, Missouri, on April 5, 1954. She was only in Kansas City for a short time before spending much of her childhood in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In New Mexico, she enjoyed riding her horses and spending time with her two brothers, David and Greg. Coleen, her brothers and mother, Marie, then moved to White Settlement where Coleen graduated from Brewer High School in 1972. Coleen married Michael Nelson shortly after high school and had two children, Eric and Hayley. After raising her children in Texas, Coleen then moved to Savage, Minnesota and married Patrick Seeker in Dec. 2022. Coleen eventually returned to Texas, where she had her own in-home childcare for years caring for schoolteacher’s children in the White Settlement ISD. This led her to work for the FCLC (WSISD Child Care) for over 15 years. Coleen loved working and caring for kids. She retired as a director for FCLC in 2025. In her free time, Coleen loved spending time at the beach or in the mountains of Northern New Mexico.
