Editor’s note: The featured pet may be adopted by the time you reach out, but there are always many more waiting to meet you through the Humane Society of North Texas.

At the Humane Society of North Texas, adoption is about changing lives, one match at a time. Learn more about adoptions at HSNT’s Fort Worth and Keller locations, or at off-site adoption events held six days a week at HSNT.org.

Temperatures are dropping, the air is crisp, and we’re trading flip-flops for fuzzy socks. As the holiday season approaches, there’s truly nothing better than snuggling under a warm blanket, watching your favorite movie, and sharing it all with a loyal furry friend.

This Fur Friday, the Humane Society of North Texas invites you to meet two adoptable pets who are ready to make your home a little warmer this fall.

Macaroni is a 6-month-old male tabby cat with a big personality packed into a small frame. Curious, playful and charming, he’s happiest when he’s purring in your lap or batting at a stray ribbon — just in time for the gift-wrapping season ahead.

Genoise is a 7-month-old female mixed-breed pup who loves everyone she meets. With her gentle spirit and puppy grin, she’s the perfect companion for long walks, football Sundays, or lazy evenings curled up by the fire.

The holidays are about comfort, connection and compassion — and there’s no better way to celebrate than by giving a pet a home for the holidays.

Cassie Davidson is the senior director of marketing, communications and public relations for the Humane Society of North Texas.
