EUGENE, Ore. – Bowtech is moving its operations to Houston as part of a plan focused on growth and improving how the company serves customers and dealers.
The company is relocating along with Diamond Archery to a new facility in Houston. The move includes expanding what the company can do and creating a space designed to strengthen teamwork, speed up innovation and support future growth.
“This next chapter is about momentum,” said Colin Legge, CEO and president. “Relocating to Houston positions us to continue investing in the future of our brands, our products, and the people who support them.”
Legge said the move isn’t about changing the company’s identity. “This is not about changing who we are, it is about continuing to grow, evolve, and invest in the future of archery while staying committed to the hunters and shooters who trust our brands,” Legge said.
The new Houston facility will serve as a hub for innovation, product development, production and brand storytelling. The space will allow Bowtech to provide a deeper look into the people, processes and passion behind the brand through expanded behind-the-scenes content, facility tours and greater access to the teams building the products.
Long term, the company plans to develop the new headquarters into a “Bowtech Experience” destination. The facility is being designed to create opportunities for consumers, dealers, media partners and the archery community to engage with the brand in a more hands-on environment.
As part of the transition, Excalibur Crossbow will now work under the leadership of Savage Arms. This allows Bowtech, Diamond Archery and Black Gold Premium Accessories to stay focused on advancing the vertical bow category while positioning Excalibur for continued growth within the Savage Arms organization.
Black Gold Premium Accessories, including Ripcord Rests and TightSpot Quivers, will continue production from their existing Belgrade, Montana facility. The relocation and transition will happen in phases throughout the remainder of 2026.
“We ask for a little grace as our teams work through this transition,” Legge said. “We are building for the future while continuing to operate at full speed.” He said the goal is to keep downtime to a minimum, continue supporting customers throughout the move and come out of the transition stronger heading into 2027.
Additional updates, facility content and behind-the-scenes coverage will be shared across Bowtech digital and social platforms in the coming months.
