Authorities believe a person may have been killed by a train and are investigating along U.S. 24 in unincorporated El Paso County.
A body was found at Las Vegas Street and U.S. 24 sometime after 10:50 p.m. Friday, according to a news release from the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.
The Sheriff’s Office said this was an isolated incident, and there is no threat to the community.
The coroner will identify the person and determine their cause of death.
More information will be released “when appropriate,” the Sheriff’s Office said.
No further details have been released as of 10 a.m. Saturday.
