FORT WORTH – Cynthia Mae McCoy was born on Oct. 29, 1940, in Weatherford, Texas to Bill and Sarah Inez Vaughan. Cindy went to be with our Lord on July 18, 2026, at the age of 85. I can see her dancing all the way. She had a lengthy illness she wanted to be free of. Finally, she’s free. While we here on earth will miss her, she is whole and sitting at the Lord’s feet. She is survived by her sister, Frances Tillery; niece, Betty Barton; and two stepchildren, Mark McCoy and Pamala Hollingsworth. She is also survived by Pamala’s children, Robert Hughs and wife, Shona and son, Tyler; and Chris Hughs and his wife, Julia and their children, Scarlett and Ethan. A visitation will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at Greenwood Funeral Home in Memorial Suite B, 3344 White Settlement Rd., Fort Worth, Texas 76107. A graveside service will take place on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at 11 a.m. in Acton Cemetery.
