Southwest Fitness Holdings LLC, a subsidiary of CR Fitness Holdings, has opened Crunch McKinney, its 14th Crunch Fitness location in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, continuing the franchise group’s expansion across North Texas.

The approximately 40,000-square-foot fitness center, located at 8551 Eldorado Parkway in McKinney, represents a $12 million investment and features Crunch Fitness’ latest 3.0 club design. The facility begins welcoming members with a soft opening on July 30, followed by a grand opening celebration on Aug. 1.

The new club offers a range of fitness amenities, including cardio and strength training equipment, Reform Pilates, group fitness studios, personal training, the HIITZone training area, Ride cycling, a Hot Studio and recovery amenities such as an infrared sauna, HydroMassage and tanning. Additional features include Olympic squat racks, a dedicated glutes and abs training area, performance turf and 24-hour weekday access.

Tony Scrimale, chief executive officer of CR Fitness Holdings, said the new location expands access to premium fitness facilities and programming for residents of the McKinney area. He noted that the club’s extended operating hours and expanded class offerings are designed to accommodate a wide range of member schedules and fitness goals.

The opening is expected to create more than 70 local jobs across personal training, group fitness instruction, sales, operations, member services and club management.

Crunch McKinney marks the latest step in Southwest Fitness Holdings’ regional growth strategy. The company plans to open six additional Crunch Fitness clubs in the Dallas-Fort Worth market, including locations in Benbrook, Burleson, Garland, Golden Triangle, McKinney North and Rayzor Ranch.

Southwest Fitness Holdings currently operates 14 Crunch Fitness clubs across the Dallas-Fort Worth area and is targeting nearly 20 Texas locations by the end of 2026. Its parent company, CR Fitness Holdings, is one of the largest Crunch Fitness franchise operators, serving more than one million members through 96 clubs nationwide.
