Kyng will headline a benefit concert Saturday to raise money for Apple Tree Creative Center, a new live music venue in El Paso showcasing young, local musicians.
Kyng Drummer Pepe Clarke is the owner of Let There Be Rock School on El Paso’s west side. Pepe grew up in Juarez and El Paso before heading off to California to pursue his musical dreams.
Pepe’s a professional musician who has played with other, national bands including Ministry as well as his own band, Kyng.
The Apple Tree Creative Center is a safe place for kids and young musicians to learn, perform and record. El Paso is loaded with live music venues but Let There Be Rock School students and many of its alumni are not old enough to be, or comfortable in, them as most are bars.

Age restrictions and the behavior of certain people under certain influences really put those places out of reach for many local musicians, young and old alike. Enter the Apple Tree Creative Center.
Pepe Clarke sees Apple Tree as a place where young musicians and artists can feel free to express themselves and to feel safe. Kind of a “haven”, as he says in the video, for all kinds of arts … music, photography, painting, etc. In short, a place where “creativeness can shine” and one that all of El Paso can take advantage of.
The 1st annual Apple Tree Creative Center benefit concert is Saturday, 11/8/2025, at Club 101 – 4151 N. Mesa. Get your tickets here.
Who’s Playing?
It will feature local entertainers DJ Wally, Sultanes De Yonke, Blushed, The Roulettes and Let There Be Rock School Bands along with headliners, Kyng.
Your contribution directly fuels our mission to provide a safe, inspiring space where youth can explore their creative potential through both music and the arts. From hands-on workshops to performance opportunities and visual arts programs, Apple Tree Creative Center is a place where young people can express themselves, build confidence, and connect with mentors who care. – epcf.com
