FORT WORTH, TX — Quorum Architects, a commercial architecture and interior design firm, announces the addition of Architectural Intern Eylul Basak Cetinkanat, who will contribute to projects on the firm’s Municipal Design team, known for working with municipalities across Texas.

Cetinkanat is an award-winning young professional who earned both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Architecture from the University of Texas at Arlington. She brings relevant municipal experience to the firm from her previous internship at the Arlington Urban Design Center, where she assisted with projects for the City of Arlington.

Cetinkanat has been recognized for her participation in a pavilion project for Joppy Momma’s, a community farm & garden located in the historic town of Joppa. The student-led group project earned the AIA Dallas Student Design Award and the Trinity Urban Design Award, recognizing its innovative sustainability solutions and positive community impact.

“We are excited to welcome Basak to the Municipal Design team,” said David Duman, principal and Municipal Design team lead. “Basak’s eagerness to learn in addition to her past experience has made her a valuable team member, taking on projects with a purposeful approach.”

Originally from Türkiye, Cetinkanat has lived and studied in South Africa, Uganda, and New York. Her international education has fostered a broad architectural perspective and a deliberate, thoughtful approach to design, qualities she is eager to grow further at Quorum Architects.

“Quorum is a cultivating environment where I can learn, grow, and contribute, with my peers providing incredible support,” Cetinkanat said. “I am excited to continue growing as a designer in a highly collaborative environment.”

Cetinkanat’s professional goals include becoming a licensed architect in the State of Texas. In her personal time, she balances her days by sharpening her piano, cooking, and baking skills, as well as exploring her new home city of Fort Worth.
