National Weather Service – Heat Advisory for San Antonio (July 28, 2026)
SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — It may not be the hottest temperatures forecast for San Antonio and the Hill Country, but the heat will be something to pay attention to over the next few days.
The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for an area just south of the Alamo City and the I-35 Corridor. This particular advisory extends as far west as the U.S-Mexico border and as far east as Houston. Most of North Texas is also included in the Heat Advisory that will likely be extended into Wednesday.
What to know:
Dangerous heat will lead to an increased risk for heat related illnesses this week.
Drink plenty of water, take breaks out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
Limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening and know the symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
