EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — Country music rising star Julia Cole has been added to the lineup for the 10th annual Way Out West Fest, completing the festival’s national touring roster ahead of its return to downtown El Paso on Sept. 26.
Festival organizers announced Monday that the Texas native will perform on the Bud Light Main Stage alongside headliner Cole Swindell, as well as BRELAND and Mike Ryan. Organizers say it marks the largest and most diverse national lineup in the festival’s history.
Julia Cole is one of the fastest-rising young stars in country music today,” Way Out West Fest Producer Gina Roe-Davis said in a statement. “She brings incredible energy, authenticity, and a connection with fans that perfectly reflects what Way Out West Fest is all about. We couldn’t be more excited to welcome her to El Paso as we celebrate our milestone 10th anniversary.
Cole has amassed more than 700 million streams across music platforms and more than 2.7 million followers on social media. Her music, which she describes as “sisterhood country,” focuses on themes of friendship, resilience and community.
The singer-songwriter also honors her Texas roots by incorporating fabric from her late grandfather’s vintage Western shirts into her stage wardrobe, guitar straps and album artwork.
In addition to the national acts, festival organizers said local performers for the Lucchese Bootmaker Local Stage will be announced throughout August.
Way Out West Fest has grown into one of the Southwest’s largest country music festivals, offering live entertainment across two stages, Western-themed interactive activities, food and drink vendors, artisan shopping and several fan-favorite competitions.
The festival takes place Saturday, Sept. 26, in downtown El Paso.
Tickets are available online through the festival website.
