EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — Houston-based Lonestar Electric Supply is expanding into West Texas with a new 78,000-square-foot distribution center set to open in El Paso this fall.

The new facility, located at 1325 Pendale Road, is expected to employ about 20 people and will serve customers across the Borderland and neighboring New Mexico, according to the company.

Lonestar Electric Supply said the expansion is aimed at supporting continued commercial and industrial growth in the region. The company distributes electrical supplies used in projects ranging from data centers and hospitals to schools, industrial facilities and commercial developments.

El Paso has seen tremendous growth in the past few years thanks to available land and business-friendly government,” said Ric Flores, the company’s market leader. “With our scale of services, we are a hand-in-glove fit for this emerging business environment here in El Paso and in neighboring New Mexico.

The distribution center will work with manufacturers including ABB Electrification, Southwire and Orbit Industries to supply electrical products throughout the region.

Founded in 2015, Lonestar Electric Supply has expanded rapidly across the country. The El Paso location will become one of more than 30 distribution centers operated by the company. After establishing locations throughout Texas, the company expanded outside the state with a New Orleans distribution center in 2024, followed by facilities in Oklahoma and Tennessee in 2025.

In addition to electrical distribution, Lonestar Electric Supply provides tool and equipment sales and rentals, engineering and integrated solutions for water and wastewater projects, as well as industrial supplies for the oil and gas, renewable energy and manufacturing sectors.

The announcement comes as El Paso continues to attract major industrial and infrastructure investments, including large-scale manufacturing and data center projects that have increased demand for electrical equipment and construction materials.

The company expects the El Paso distribution center to begin operations this fall.
