One person airlifted after a crash in Santa Teresa involving Border Patrol

SANTA TERESA, N.M. (KFOX14/CBS4) — One person has been airlifted to the hospital following a crash in Santa Teresa involving U.S. Border Patrol.

According to the New Mexico State Police, at around 4:25 p.m., NMSP officers responded to a crash involving two vehicles on the westbound lanes of New Mexico Road 9 near milepost 121.

It is unclear how it happened, but NMSP confirmed it involved Border Patrol.

The crash is still under investigation.
