More than a dozen people were detained Tuesday morning after authorities executed a warrant at a home on the city’s west side, according to the San Antonio Police Department.
SAPD said officers served a DART warrant around 9:45 a.m. at a home in the 700 block of South San Bernardo Avenue.
Police detained approximately 17 people who were inside the home, along with several others in the backyard, according to SAPD. Officials said everyone was cooperative during the operation, and no incidents were reported.
Five people were arrested on various outstanding warrants and other miscellaneous charges, according to police.
Investigators also found drug paraphernalia inside the home, officials said.
One person with a pre-existing injury was evaluated and transported by EMS, according to police. Officials said the injury was not related to the operation.
The City Attorney’s Office plans to offer services to the homeowner, and a follow-up inspection of the property is scheduled for a later date, according to SAPD.
The investigation remains ongoing.
