Aritzia, a women’s apparel retailer, has plans for a $9 million remodel at Houston’s Galleria, according to a Wednesday filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR). The project, located at 5085 Westheimer Rd., would feature an interior remodel and finish out of a 19,289-square-foot space.
While details submitted to the TDLR are subject to change, construction could begin this coming April, lasting through late October 2027. California-based Architects Orange is the listed design firm for the project titled “Aritzia 2804 Houston Galleria.”
Known for its signature Super Puff jackets, elevated wardrobe staples and neutral color palettes, the Canadian fashion retailer has rapidly expanded its U.S. footprint in recent years. Aritzia did not immediately respond to Chron’s request for comment by the time of publication.
The company first opened at The Galleria in February 2020, according to Community Impact. At the time, the retailer described the boutique as “feminine and spacious,” highlighting a pink quartz wall, vintage furniture, curated works of art, sculptures and books.
Aritzia is currently located on Level 1 of The Galleria near the Galleria Financial Center, according to the mall website. Founded by Brian Hill in Vancouver in 1984, Aritzia operates several other boutiques across the Lone Star State, including in Plano, Dallas, Southlake, Austin and San Antonio.
“We’re about good design, quality materials and timeless style—all with the wellbeing of our People and Planet in mind,” the company wrote on its website.
The brand highlights its in-house music team, which curates original boutique soundtracks, floor-to-ceiling mirrors, personal styling appointments and other unique amenities available at each location.
