The Instagram account rescue_all_paws, which documents animal rescue efforts, shared a video showing the rescue of a severely underweight puppy found alone beside a busy highway.The footage shows one of the rescue team’s members carefully approaching the exhausted dog, which was wearing a collar and leash, before safely bringing her away from the roadside.According to the caption, the puppy was extremely thin, covered in ticks, and in urgent need of veterinary care. The rescuer said more than 50 ticks were removed from the dog’s ears and neck alone before she was given medication and a chance to rest ahead of a bath.The team also noted that the rescue took place without any close calls with passing traffic and said the puppy now faces a long recovery as she begins receiving the care she needs.
