Potential agreement in place for Dallas Rice in archery group theft case

  • July 31, 2026

MINOT, N.D. (KMOT) – One of the two people accused of stealing money from a Minot-area archery group may be changing their plea.

Online records show an agreement has been reached between the parties in the case of Dallas Rice. The notice does not specify the terms of any agreement but asks the court to schedule a change of plea and sentencing.

Prosecutors say Dallas and his wife, Nichole Rice, took more than $180,000 from the group Souris Valley Bowmen over the course of three years, while serving as part of the group’s leadership with access to its bank accounts.

In March, Dallas waived his right to a preliminary hearing and entered a not guilty plea.

For now, Nichole still has a jury trial scheduled for November.

We’ve reached out to his attorney for comment.
