Roy Brown, 80, of Lubbock, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2026, at University Medical Center in Lubbock, surrounded by his family.

Roy was born June 23, 1946, at Santo Tomas Hospital in Panama City, Panama to Clyde Cornelius Brown and Gilberta Sanchez Brown.

The Army was Roy’s first career. He served 24 years as a non-commissioned officer, retiring as a First Sergeant from Ft. Lee, Virginia. Additionally, he worked with J.B. Hunt before working an additional 25 years with TST and Key Energy in Stanton, TX. Retired to Conway, Arkansas before moving to Lubbock, TX.

Roy’s friends and family will host a visitation on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, from 6:00-8:00p.m. at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. Services will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Lake Ridge Chapel followed by a burial at the West Texas Veteran’s Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. For a full obituary and a place to share memories of Roy with his family please visit www.memorialdesigners.net.
