Images from SkyEye13 showed flames on a hospital’s roof as firefighters rushed to contain them on July 31, 2026, in Houston.
The Houston Fire Department responded to a 2-alarm fire at the intersection of Fannin Street and University Boulevard just after 5 p.m. Friday, according to information posted online by the fire department.
Smoke could be seen billowing from the top of a Houston Methodist Hospital building near that intersection in the Texas Medical Center.
Neither the fire department nor Houston Methodist immediately responded to requests for comment.

In a statement published by multiple local news outlets, a Houston Methodist spokesperson said, “No injuries were reported, and there is no ongoing risk to patients, visitors or employees.”
