All Elite Wrestling announced Thursday that Metroplex Wrestling and several other independent promotions would be added to MyAEW.
DALLAS — Independent pro wrestling in North Texas is about to be put in front of eyes around the world, as All Elite Wrestling announced Thursday it would be adding Metroplex Wrestling to its new streaming service, MyAEW.
The addition was part of a broader announcement, with AEW naming six independent promotions in total from around the U.S. that would be joining the streaming service. MyAEW is available to watch in more than 100 countries, including Canada and the United Kingdom, along with the U.S.

This isn’t the first time Metroplex Wrestling (MPX) has done business with AEW, as it teamed up with AEW’s sister promotion, Ring of Honor, to run a joint show last January in Arlington.
MPX harkens back to the days of World Class Championship Wrestling and the Von Erichs in the sense that it runs every Saturday night at its own venue in Bedford, much like WCCW did throughout the Sportatorium in the ’80s. These shows have been broadcast live for the last few year’s on the promotion’s Twitch channel.
The connections between MPX and AEW run deeper than that, as MPX is owned by AEW wrestler and current ROH Women’s World Champion Athena. She and her husband, Matthew Palmer, run MPX. Some of the biggest shows MPX has held are part of its “Who Runs the World?” series, which are all-women shows featuring some of the best women wrestlers on both the indies and in AEW. The shows have featured some huge surprises in the past as well, including the appearance of Mercedes Moné, formerly known as Sasha Banks in WWE, on the very first show.
