Grab your white outfit! White Linen Night celebrates 20 years in Houston’s Heights

  • August 1, 2026

HOUSTON – If you need an excuse to wear your favorite white outfit, stroll through one of Houston’s most popular neighborhoods and enjoy food, music and shopping, this weekend has you covered.

White Linen Night in the Heights returns Saturday, Aug. 1, celebrating its 20th anniversary with an evening of live entertainment, local vendors and community fun along West 19th Street.

Inspired by the famous White Linen Night celebrations in New Orleans’ French Quarter, the annual event transforms the historic Heights into a lively, pedestrian-only street festival where thousands of Houstonians gather dressed in white to celebrate local businesses and artists.

What to expect at White Linen Night 2026

This year’s milestone celebration runs from 6 to 10 p.m. along West 19th Street between Yale and Ashland, where the street will be closed to vehicle traffic.

Visitors can expect:

Live music throughout the evening

Street performers

More than 50 local artisan vendors

Food and drinks from Houston chefs and vendors

Interactive experiences

Shopping at local Heights businesses

The event is hosted by The Feel Good Group in partnership with the 19th Street Merchants Association for the fourth consecutive year.

Tickets and admission

For the third straight year, White Linen Night is a ticketed event.

General admission tickets are $20 online and at the gate after early bird pricing ended. Children 12 and younger are free.

Organizers say proceeds help pay for enhanced security and crowd control during the event while also supporting year-round improvements to 19th Street, including streetscape enhancements and seasonal holiday decorations.
