LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Unofficial results from the Lubbock City Council District 4 runoff show Tim Green winning with 61% of the vote over Gary Boren, who received 39%. District 4 covers parts of central and south Lubbock.
“I wanna grow the city and produce more revenue from outside sources,” Green said. “So that I can give it back, so that we can give it back to the citizens and lower their property tax rate.”
The results remain unofficial. The City Council will canvass and certify the results at its next meeting. The winner will serve out Brayden Rose’s term through 2028.
