One Arlington restaurant was closed and another posted a low score in the latest round of city health inspections, according to the inspection report.
The report compiled by the Star-Telegram contains data from July 12 through July 25 and 147 inspections.
Arlington city health inspections function on a 100-point scale, with a score of 100 considered perfect and a score below 70 considered extremely poor.
Maria Bonita, 2247 S. Cooper St., was closed by the city and later reopened after a follow-up inspection on July 22. Inspectors observed an active roach infestation near the food preparation area that posed “an immediate high risk.” At the time the restaurant reopened, the infestation had been corrected, officials said.
El Ranchito, 3517 S. Cooper St., had a score of 75. Violations included sanitation and physical deficiencies, pest control problems, and food stored at improper temperatures. All of the critical violations had been corrected at the time of a follow-up inspection, officials said.
Arlington food establishments are required to post a certificate of their most recent inspection scores, and provide copies of the report on request.
