(KBTX) — Missouri and Texas A&M are scheduled to meet for the second consecutive season, marking the first-ever time the Aggies have traveled to Columbia for back-to-back games. The two programs have not faced each other in consecutive seasons since they played every year from 2010-14.
Texas A&M defeated Missouri 38-17 last season in a matchup that featured both teams ranked. A&M was No. 3 in the AP poll and Missouri was No. 22.
The Aggies led 14-0 at halftime and scored two long-distance touchdowns in the second half to pull away. The win moved Texas A&M to 9-0 on the season for the first time since 1992.
Missouri coach Eli Drinkwitz reflected on last season’s loss at SEC Media Days and looked ahead to the upcoming game.
“I remember it really being a game-ish until that two-minute drive at the end [of the first half] where they forced the strip-sack fumble for a touchdown,” Drinkwitz said. “They’re going to be really, really good [this year]. I know they reloaded the offensive line in the transfer portal. They still got Marcel [Reed], who I’ve always been a big fan of.”
The 2026 meeting is scheduled for Oct. 10 and will be the 19th all-time meeting between the two programs. Kickoff is slated for an early window between 11 a.m. and noon CT.
