A suspect, arrested Thursday for attempted kidnapping at a Dollar Tree, is being linked to a similar case at a Salsa Limón restaurant, police say.
FORT WORTH, Texas — An attempted kidnapping of a woman Thursday may have been just the latest offense for a multiple offender, who is now in custody, police said.
The Fort Worth Police Department is investigating a suspect who was arrested for the attempted kidnapping, which took place at the Dollar Tree on Carroll Street on Thursday. The victim was an adult, police said.
The suspect, whose name was not provided to WFAA, has been arrested and is in custody at the Tarrant County Jail.
Authorities also said the suspect was previously arrested for a similar offense on July 10 and is believed to be involved in an additional attempted kidnapping that occurred outside the Salsa Limón on 925 University Drive on July 29.
FWPD said its Major Case Unit is actively investigating details regarding this suspect and these crimes, and they’ll release more information when it is available.
