Inspectors found rodents, roaches and mold at multiple Tarrant County food establishments during the latest round of health inspections, according to the inspection report.
The report compiled by the Star-Telegram contains data from July 12 through July 25 and 321 inspections.
Tarrant County’s health inspections function on a 100-point scale, where a score of 100 is considered perfect and a score of 70 is considered extremely poor. Tarrant County Public Health inspects all restaurants in the county except those in Fort Worth, Arlington, Euless and North Richland Hills.
Five food establishments had problems with roaches:
Mamacitas Sports Bar, located at 5103 Azle Avenue in Sansom Park, had a score of 75. Inspectors found live roaches on the dish rack.Timarron, located at 1400 Byron Nelson Parkway in Southlake, had a score of 78. Inspectors observed a roach in a single service storage room.Delucca Gaucho Pizza & Wine, located at 2001 West Southlake Boulevard, in Southlake, had a score of 80. Inspectors observed a roach walking through the kitchen near handwashing sinks.Argentinas Sweet & Salty Bakery, located at 510 Harwood Road, in Bedford, had a score of 93. A single dead cockroach was found on the floor of a pantry.Papa Johns Pizza 902, located at 6317 Rufe Snow Boulevard in Watauga, had a score of 93. A roach and cricket were found on the floor next to the walk-in cooler.
At Momma’s Donuts, located at 823 South Cherry Lane in White Settlement, inspectors found rodent droppings in corners throughout the restaurant. Inspectors required immediate cleaning and sanitizing, and directed the business to obtain pest control services within 24 hours. The establishment scored a 70.
At a Subway location at 2504 West Park Row in Pantego, inspectors cited the business for repeat mold violations and improper hot holding temperatures.
