No one hit the estimated $707 million jackpot in the drawing, but someone who bought a ticket in North Texas has reason to smile.

ALLEN, Texas — Someone who bought a Powerball ticket in North Texas woke up to a $1 million prize after Saturday’s drawing.

A ticket sold at a gas station in Allen, Texas, at the intersection of E Bethany Drive and Allen Heights Drive matched all five numbers, but missed out on the Powerball. That ticket is worth $1 million.

Five other players won big prizes, including one ticket in Virginia worth $2 million. Three tickets sold in California and one in Maryland also won $1 million.

No one hit the $707 million jackpot in the drawing. The grand prize now sits at an estimated $748 million annuitized, or an estimated $325 million cash value.

When are Powerball drawings and how much do tickets cost?

Powerball drawings are held three times a week — Monday, Wednesday and Saturday — with numbers broadcast live around 9:59 p.m. Central time. Ticket sales typically cut off about an hour before each drawing, though exact cutoff times vary by state.

Each Powerball ticket costs $2 per play. Players choose five numbers from 1 to 69 and one Powerball number from 1 to 26, or can opt for a computer-generated Quick Pick.

For an extra $1 per play, players can add Power Play, which multiplies non-jackpot prizes by 2, 3, 4, 5 or 10 times, depending on the multiplier drawn that night. Powerball is sold in 45 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and the United Kingdom.
