BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – Texas A&M will travel to Bryant-Denny Stadium on Oct. 24 to face Alabama for the first time since 2023, with kickoff time still to be determined.
The 2023 meeting ended with Alabama defeating the Aggies at Kyle Field, 26-20. Since Texas A&M joined the SEC in 2012, Alabama holds a 10-2 series record over the Aggies. A&M’s last win came in 2021 — a 41-38 home victory on a game-winning field goal that upset No. 1 Alabama. The last time the Aggies won at Bryant-Denny Stadium was also in 2012.
The 2026 game will mark the first time head coach Mike Elko faces Alabama as a head coach. It will also be the first time the Aggies face a Crimson Tide team not led by Nick Saban.
Alabama transfers Isaiah Horton and Wilkin Formby will also return to Bryant-Denny Stadium wearing maroon and white.
Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer said he holds no ill will toward players who have moved on from the program.
“I’m always going to wish them the best,” DeBoer said. “As long as they’ve given everything they’ve had while they’re with me, I’m always going to appreciate them. But Isaiah, long, big catch radius, you know, can make those plays. And had made a lot of plays down in the red zone for us last year in some big games.”
Alabama defensive back Zabien Brown said the familiarity with former teammates will raise the level of competition.
“It’s going to be a great matchup,” Brown said. “He knows me, I know him, we know how each other play. And it’s going to bring the best out of us.”
