A motorcyclist riding at a high speed on Interstate 30 in Grand Prairie on Saturday afternoon was killed after crashing into a truck, police said.
A sport motorcycle was headed westbound on I-30 about 5 p.m. when the rider hit the back of a truck near the Belt Line Road exit, Grand Prairie police said in a news release on Monday.
According to police, witnesses reported that the motorcyclist was traveling at a high rate of speed and weaving in and out of traffic before the crash.
The motorcyclist was taken to a hospital, where he later died. No other injuries were reported, according to the release.
The Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the person who died after next of kin have been notified.
The investigation is ongoing, according to police.
