Hopdoddy Burger Bar is an Austin original, dating back to its founding in the Texas capital back in 2010. Now, it’s home to nearly 50 locations across the country, expanding beyond Texas into Louisiana, Georgia, Tennessee, Colorado, Arizona and California.
This week, the chain will celebrate its latest restaurant in the Live Music Capital of the World, with the upcoming eatery nestled in East Austin’s Mueller neighborhood. Hopdoddy’s Mueller restaurant, located at 2005 Aldrich St., Austin TX 78723, is slated to open on Wednesday, August 5, bringing with it a rare menu additive to its typical culinary fare.
The Mueller location will feature a “boozy breakfast” menu offering every Sunday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., complete with breakfast sandwiches, biscuits, hash plates, doughnuts and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink options. Just one other Hopdoddy includes the same specialty Sunday menu: its Plaza Saltillo restaurant, located at 1011 E. Fifth St., Suite 180 ,Austin, TX 78702.
It’s not the only Hopdoddy coming down the pipeline in Central Texas. The Austin chain is also opening locations in the surrounding suburban communities of Leander and Pflugerville. Those projects — registered last November and December, respectively — each came with an estimated project cost of $450,000 and a tentative summer completion date, per preliminary filings with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
Currently, the Austin metro is home to 10 operating or upcoming restaurants, with additional Lone Star locations in College Station, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, San Antonio, San Marcos, South Texas and West Texas.
