COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) – Two of the Lone Star State’s most iconic brands are joining forces.
Texas A&M University and Buc-ee’s have officially launched their first-ever line of co-branded merchandise. The collaboration kicks off today, Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2026, with an inaugural maroon T-shirt celebrating the unique connection between the university and the massive travel center chain.
The shirts are available exclusively at 20 select Buc-ee’s locations across Texas and at the Barnes & Noble campus bookstore on Texas A&M’s main campus in College Station.

According to a report by Texas A&M University, the partnership highlights the university’s relationship with Buc-ee’s founder and Texas A&M alumnus, Arch “Beaver” Aplin III ’80. Aplin founded the first Buc-ee’s in Lake Jackson in 1982, shortly after graduating from Texas A&M.
“As an Aggie, it’s special to see Buc-ee’s and Texas A&M come together in a way that celebrates both brands,” Aplin said in a statement. “Buc-ee’s has always been about creating experiences people enjoy and remember, and Texas A&M has always felt like home. This is the next step in bringing those two things together.”
Texas A&M reports that earlier this year, it became the first university to bring official Buc-ee’s products directly to its campus, selling more than 45 of the brand’s popular items at on-campus locations. This new co-branded apparel represents the first time both logos share space on the same products.

The launch serves as a real-world preview of the Aplin Center, an academic facility currently under construction in the heart of the College Station campus. Funded in part by a $60 million contribution from Aplin, the center is designed to offer hands-on learning opportunities for students studying hospitality, retail, food innovation, merchandising, marketing, and entrepreneurship.
The university teased that future co-branded product releases are already planned, with announcements expected to coincide with Texas A&M’s upcoming 150th anniversary celebration.
