LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Commuters on the West Loop frontage road should prepare for delays and lane closures starting tomorrow morning as repaving crews begin work.
The project will affect southbound traffic on the frontage road between North Utica Avenue and Winston Avenue. During construction, the frontage road’s left lane and the southbound West Loop exit ramp to Slide Road and 4th Street will be completely closed.
Crews expect the closures to remain in place through Friday morning.
Signage will be posted throughout the area detour routing and asking drivers to seek alternative routes. Commuters are highly encouraged to avoid the area if possible to bypass potential traffic backups.
