The Dallas Police Department terminated four employees during a disciplinary hearing held on August 3, according to information released by the department.
Dallas Police Chief Daniel Comeaux issued the terminations, which involved two sworn officers and two civilian employees assigned to the Communications Division.
Senior Corporal Sarah Lenhart, #8960, was dismissed for violating department personnel rules of conduct. Lenhart had served with the department since November 2006 and was assigned to the Southeast Patrol Division.
Police Officer Nakisha Cardwell, #11548, was terminated after being arrested by the Mesquite Police Department for driving under the influence of alcohol, a class B misdemeanor. The department cited adverse conduct in her dismissal. Cardwell had been with the department since July 2018 and was assigned to the South-Central Patrol Division.
Sanjuana Gonzalez, a Police Dispatch Analyst III assigned to the Communications Division, was terminated for absence without leave from duty assignment, a violation of department personnel policy. Gonzalez had been employed by the department since January 2004.
Karen Guiterrez, a 9-1-1 Call Analyst also assigned to the Communications Division, was terminated for unapproved leave without pay due to excessive absences, in violation of department personnel policy. Guiterrez had been with the department since October 2021.
