The media company evaluated 589 hospitals in Texas, with 38 meeting the qualifications to be recognized as Best Regional Hospitals. The top hospital in the state was Houston Methodist Hospital

The Houston facility was the only one in Texas included in the 2026-27 U.S. News Best Hospitals Honor Roll, which recognizes the 20 best facilities for adult care. Those on the honor roll are not ranked. This year, nearly 4,500 hospitals across the nation were evaluated.

The annual Best Hospitals rankings aim to help patients, along with their doctors, find the best option to meet their health needs.
