H-E-B is making a making a fresh move with a site it owns in Fort Worth.
An “Urban Forestry” permit is being sought for a piece of property that is owned by H-E-B, according to a filing. The project description is for “site grading for future development,” it showed.
The property is in the southern area of Fort Worth at 5501 Crescent Hill Lane, it said. That’s in Chisholm Trail Ranch, a master planned community that covers about 600 acres and includes housing and retail.
“It’s simple grading for a future store,” said Mabrie Jackson, managing director public affairs, H-E-B. “No timeframe has been established for construction to begin.”
The Texas-based grocer is investing in North Texas as it pushes to compete with national chains such as Kroger and Walmart. In recent months, H-E-B has opened sites in Murphy, Irving and Euless.
