David Morgan’s second rehab appearance wasn’t so smooth.
The 26-year-old right-hander allowed two runs in an inning after Jagger Haynes struggled in the start in Triple-A El Paso’s 7-5 loss on Wednesday at Reno.
Morgan (7.30 ERA) allowed two runs on two hits and a walk while striking out a batter. He’s coming off a left knee injury and had turned in a scoreless inning in his first rehab appearance with El Paso.
Haynes (0-2, 14.00 ERA) allowed four runs on five hits and a walk in four innings in his third start for El Paso. He struck out two.
Right-hander Logan Gillaspie (6.56 ERA) allowed a run over the final three innings.
Left fielder Nick Solak (.902 OPS) drove in three runs on two hits.
Right fielder Carlos Rodriguez (.794 OPS) went 4-for-5 with a triple, a double and three runs scored.
Catcher Ethan Salas (.936 OPS) went 1-for-5.
El Paso is 44-65.

Ontario 3, Storm 2: Pinch-hitter Yimy Tovar (.668 OPS) doubled in two runs. RF Jesmaylin Arias went 2-for-4 in his Storm debut. New draftees Alex Conover (0-for-4, 2 Ks) and Nu’u Contrades (0-for-2, BB) made their professional debuts.
