Ladies in Film & Television (LIFT) announces the 4th Annual Texas Indie Filmmaker Awards (TIFA), taking place Sept. 26, 2026 at the Bob Duncan Center in Arlington, Texas. The multi-day celebration will honor independent filmmakers, actors, and creative talent from across the state with a red-carpet awards ceremony, film screenings, and a Friday night filmmaker meet-and-greet.

This year’s show features 17 official selections across four categories – Best Short Film, Best Feature Film, Best Student Film, and Best Documentary – representing filmmakers from cities across Texas. TIFA will also present two of its most prestigious honors: the LIFT Award and the Texas Legend Award, recognizing an influential figure with deep Texas roots and a career spanning stage, screen, and music.

“TIFA is not a Fort Worth show or an Arlington show – it’s a Texas show,” said Jeanette Greenwood, Founder & CEO of LIFT. “Every year we see more filmmakers traveling in from cities across the state, and this year is shaping up to be our biggest yet.”

Past TIFA press coverage has generated strong engagement and reached more than 3.2 million impressions, reflecting growing interest in Texas’s independent film community.
