DALLAM COUNTY, Texas (KFDA) – Texas DPS officials say one man is dead and two people are injured after a crash in Dallam County Wednesday afternoon.
DPS says the crash happened around 1:40 p.m. on U.S. 385 north of Dalhart.
According to the initial investigation, a Chevrolet Silverado was exiting a private driveway. It turned south onto U.S. 385 and failed to yield the right of way.
A cement truck was driving northbound and struck the Chevrolet on the driver’s side.
DPS says the driver of the Chevrolet, 24-year-old Mauricio Montes De Oca of Dalhart, died at the scene.
The passenger of the Chevrolet and driver of the cement truck were both taken to an Amarillo hospital with serious injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
