HOUSTON – A woman flying from Houston to Detroit on Thursday afternoon is accused of making a bomb threat as the plane was preparing to leave the gate, according to Frontier Airlines and Houston police.
Law enforcement said the woman had been drinking and said, “I could have planted a bomb since you didn’t check my boarding pass.”
Passengers were removed from the plane, then local and federal authorities conducted a security sweep. They did not find anything of concern.
According to HPD the woman, who has not been identified, was taken into custody and charged with making a terroristic threat.
The flight was scheduled to take off at 2:54 p.m. Thursday afternoon.
Frontier Airlines says all the passengers will be reaccommodated on a later flight.
According to the Bush Airport departure board, it is scheduled to depart at 10:15 p.m.
