Fort Worth

A pair of “Duck Dynasty” stars are hosting a North Texas watch party for their new show.

Jep and Jessica Robertson’s new lifestyle series “Jep & Jess: Beyond the Bayou” sees the duo trade Louisiana for Texas as they develop a property at the Comanche Moon Ranch in Mingus, which is about 70 miles west of Fort Worth. The show premieres Aug. 13 on Great American Pure Flix and Aug. 15 on Great American Family and GFAM+.

The watch party is free to attend and includes a screening of the series and an opportunity to meet the Robertsons. Representatives from Great American Media will also be in attendance.

Barbecue restaurant Marty B’s (2664 Farm-to-Market Road 407) in Bartonville is hosting the event from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 9.

More on ‘Beyond the Bayou’

“Beyond the Bayou” viewers will see the Robertsons build their new ranch and live like Texans, along with juggling parenting and grandparenting their big family.

Production on the show began in early April and wrapped in mid-June. The Star-Telegram visited the set in early June before filming finished and spoke with the Robertsons about the new show.

“It’s gone by really fast, to be perfectly honest with you,” Jep said on his back porch. “It’s been a pleasure. We’ve done a lot of TV things, I’ve really enjoyed this one.”

🎬 In case you missed it:

The Roberstsons have lived in Texas before, more specifically outside Austin for a handful of years after “Duck Dynasty” and “Jep & Jessica: Growing the Dynasty” concluded.

Things are a little different this time around due to the “endless” opportunities that the Comanche Moon Ranch development gives them, Jessica said. There’s space to go hiking, cast fishing rods, shoot clay targets or even play pickleball at a court that was converted out of a tractor storage area.

Another unique element to the property is the “exotic wildlife” hanging around, including a turkey or even an aoudad sheep that Jessica sometimes sees out her window. And, of course, there’s all those dang reptiles Texas is known for.

“Oh, there’s lots of rattlesnakes out here,” Jessica said.

“Jep & Jess: Beyond the Bayou” premieres Aug. 13 on Great American Pure Flix and Aug. 15 on Great American Family and GFAM+.
