SAN ANTONIO — With the first day of school just days away, San Antonio Independent School District is reminding families that some students will be heading to different campuses when classes begin Wednesday.
Several campus relocations and changes are taking effect for the 2026-27 school year as construction and renovations continue under the district’s Bond 2020 program.

One of the biggest changes is at Schenck Elementary School, where students and staff are returning to their original campus at 101 Kate Schenck Ave.
Students had temporarily attended classes at the former Foster Elementary campus while a new school was built at the seven-acre Schenck site. The new two-story building is now ready to welcome students back.
Collins Garden Elementary School students and staff will temporarily move to the former Storm Elementary School at 435 Brady Blvd. while the Collins Garden campus undergoes major Bond 2020 renovations.
Kelly Academy at Lowell has also completed its consolidation at 919 W. Thompson Place. During construction, some younger students attended classes across the street. The modernized Lowell campus will now serve all students from Head Start through eighth grade.
Families at Bonham Academy will also see a change this year.
Students entering third grade will now attend Bonham Primary at Green, located at 122 W. Whittier St. That campus will serve students in prekindergarten through third grade.
Bonham Academy at 925 S. St. Mary’s St. will serve students in grades four through eight.
SAISD is encouraging families to make sure they know where their children will attend classes before the first day of school Wednesday.
