PARIS, Texas (KXII) – A U.S. Postal Service worker was airlifted to a Plano hospital with serious injuries Wednesday afternoon following a three-vehicle collision on FM 195.
Officers responded to the major traffic crash in the 3600 block of FM 195 at around 1:04 p.m. Wednesday.
According to the Paris Police Department, a white minivan traveling northbound on FM 195 rear-ended the postal service SUV as the carrier was attempting to turn onto North Hills Road while delivering mail.
The impact forced the postal SUV into the oncoming southbound lane, where it was struck by an oncoming pickup truck towing a trailer.
First responders treated the postal driver for serious injuries at the scene before an air ambulance transported them to a hospital in Plano.
No update on their condition or the condition of the other drivers involved has been released at this time.
Police issued traffic citations as a result of the incident, though no criminal charges have been filed.
The crash remains under investigation by the Paris Police Department.
