CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Firefighters quickly contained a garage fire at a home on Amherst Dr., Thursday, preventing the flames from spreading into the rest of the house, according to the fire department.
The Corpus Christi Fire Department said they responded to the 4300 block of Amherst Dr., where they found a fire in an attached garage.

The fire was contained to the garage and did not spread into the home’s interior. However, smoke damage was reported inside the residence.
No injuries were reported.
A fire investigator was called to the scene to determine the cause of the fire but it remains under investigation. The American Red Cross was requested to assist the homeowner.
