WACO, Texas (KWTX) – A Central Texas man was charged after police say he drove while intoxicated with his 11-year-old daughter in the vehicle, and later pulled a knife during a fight at Cameron Park, according to an arrest affidavit.
Christopher Alaman was booked into the McLennan County Jail on abandoning or endangering a child charges.

Waco police detectives began investigating after receiving a report that Alaman’s daughter was injured during a June 29 incident at Cameron Park, where Alaman was initially arrested for public intoxication.
The victim told investigators she was afraid while Alaman was driving because he was drinking alcohol and swerving.
She said that at the park, Alaman began fighting with people and pulled a knife on them, the affidavit states.
Alaman admitted to police that he drank a beer while driving to Waco, but denied being intoxicated.
He claimed he was jumped by a group at the park and pulled a knife in self-defense.
Witnesses interviewed by police said Alaman behaved antagonistically toward multiple groups in the park.
They reported that Alaman used racial slurs, which led to the physical fight and then drew a knife on the group.
Alaman is currently out on bond.
