SAN ANTONIO — A woman was hospitalized early Friday after a suspected drunken driver traveling the wrong way on a West Side street crashed head-on into her car.
The crash happened shortly after 3 a.m. near West Commerce Street and North Cibolo Street.
A man was driving a pickup truck the wrong way when he collided head-on with a white sedan driven.
The woman was taken to University Hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
The pickup driver was detained on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
Depending on the severity of the woman’s injuries, he could potentially face an intoxication assault charge.
The crash remains under investigation.
