The victim drove to the location to make an in-person transaction when he was robbed and shot in the leg, according to police.
SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Police Department says a 19-year-old was shot during a robbery on the north side.
Around 2:45 p.m., officers responded to the 11700 block of West Avenue after receiving reports of a robbery.
Upon arrival, SAPD says they found a 19-year-old with a gunshot wound to his leg.
Preliminary reports suggest the victim had driven to the location for an in-person transaction of some sort. Soon after, SAPD said he was robbed and shot in the leg before the suspects fled the scene.
The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
No arrests have been made at this time and the investigation remains ongoing.
