A $2 million Powerball winning ticket from the game’s Aug. 8 drawing was bought at a grocery store in Dallas, according to the Texas Lottery website.
The winning ticket was purchased at the Tom Thumb grocery store at 7700 Northwest Highway.
The player matched all five white numbers (5-9-35-54-63) to win $2 million, but not the red Powerball number (7) with the power play bonus.
Powerball drawings are broadcast on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays at 10:12 p.m. CT and can be viewed online. Players can win the grand prize, which has now increased to $905 million, by matching five white numbers from a field of 69, and one red Powerball number from a field of 26.
Players who choose Power Play for $1 more per ticket can multiply their non-grand prize winnings by two, three, four, five or 10 times.
